Week 8

week 8 update
This week room 34 has preparing for the assembly with room35 and performing it today!
We have been making a piece of playground equipment but first we had to design it first and vote for who`s was the best structure and Zara won the vote so we made a giant snakes and ladders board.
In art this week we have been learning how to draw poupou . When we do art again we`re going to print them onto cards to give to our whanau.
Have a good weekend and Merry Christmas.

Height investigation

In February Room 34 all measured our heights and recorded them. We also estimated how tall we would be in December. This week we all measured our heights again to see how close we got. Check out the graph that shows our results. Some people came pretty close to their estimate and some grew even taller! We found that many of us grew exactly 5cm this year. Obviously Joel grew even more than that!

Week 7

Week 7 update
It has been a very busy week for room34 .
Zara, Greer,Zac and Blake went to Colin maiden park for a cricket tournament. The boys came 3 or 4th place and the girls came 2nd or 3rd. The kapa haka group went to Waiamarie hospital to preform and one of them even did break dancing for them! On Thursday we had the picnic. Good job to all the year 4's who participated in the event. Have a good weekend

We are learning to write instructions!

In week 7 we are learning to write instructions. Instructions tell the reader how to do something such as build a model, make a cake or put a bookshelf together. We will be writing instructions for how to make the Christmas gifts we are making this week.
This BBC game helps you learn some of the features of instructions! Click here to try this quiz and see how much you know about writing instructions.
